The Mackinaw Shirt takes reference from Filson cruiser coats (as alluded to in its product ID SH-FLSN-001) with the lower set of 4 front pockets. In addition to the pocket layout, SH Shirt uses a vented yoke construction for the upper half of the shirt, drawing on vintage bomber and Harrington style jackets - interestingly enough, the pattern (by which the shirt is cut) is a vest with a cape over it.
Each distinct S H Shirt style sports a blank, white “logo” tab and a label on the placket. For this series of shirts, S H Shirt uses a cotton fabric woven on Schönherr machines - a vintage loom becoming increasingly rare due to its slowness and inefficiency relative to its modern counterparts. However, the loom is prized for its traditional shuttles that produce a distinct, supple fabric that improves in texture with wash and wear.
